While not officially offering it yet, it's under serious consideration and we've been testing it for quite a while.
Basically, we're thinking about offer SolusVM KVM-Based VPS.
Hypervisor Specifications:
- CPU: Dual E5-2620 U.S and Dual E5-2630 U.K.
- STORAGE: RAID10 SSD.
- Port Speed: The Hypervisor Node is 1 Gbps - Switches are connected to 10 Gbps uplinks.
- Locations: Buffalo, New York and Maidenhead, England.
- Max vCPUs: 24 vCPU (Hence the Dual E5-26*0).
I Ran a few DD Tests, and these were the best results:
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=1g bs=1M count=1024 conv=fdatasync 1024+0 records in 1024+0 records out 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.17581 s, 913 MB/s $ dd if=1g of=/dev/null bs=1M count=1024 1024+0 records in 1024+0 records out 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.97853 s, 543 MB/s
Average DD write result:
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=1g bs=1M count=1024 conv=fdatasync 1024+0 records in 1024+0 records out 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.69185 s, 635 MB/s
