Hello LET,

While not officially offering it yet, it's under serious consideration and we've been testing it for quite a while.

Basically, we're thinking about offer SolusVM KVM-Based VPS.

Hypervisor Specifications:

  • CPU: Dual E5-2620 U.S and Dual E5-2630 U.K.
  • STORAGE: RAID10 SSD.
  • Port Speed: The Hypervisor Node is 1 Gbps - Switches are connected to 10 Gbps uplinks.
  • Locations: Buffalo, New York and Maidenhead, England.
  • Max vCPUs: 24 vCPU (Hence the Dual E5-26*0).

I Ran a few DD Tests, and these were the best results:

$ dd if=/dev/zero of=1g bs=1M count=1024 conv=fdatasync
1024+0 records in
1024+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.17581 s, 913 MB/s

$ dd if=1g of=/dev/null bs=1M count=1024
1024+0 records in
1024+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.97853 s, 543 MB/s

Average DD write result:

$ dd if=/dev/zero of=1g bs=1M count=1024 conv=fdatasync
1024+0 records in
1024+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.69185 s, 635 MB/s

Pricing will start at $5.00/mo for 768 MB RAM / 15 GB SSD / 1 TB Bandwidth.

What are your thoughts?
